Methodology
Where the data comes from and how we handle it
This page describes transparently which sources we use, what data we import, how we normalise and update it, and what the limits of what we publish are. To understand the order in which facilities appear, see also How results are ordered.
Which registries we use
MyClinicTrip consults exclusively public registries of health authorities. For Türkiye these are 4 registries of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye (T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı):
- Saç Ekim Merkezleri Portalı (elenco pubblico dei centri con unità di trapianto di capelli) — 226 facilities — registry consulted on 20 July 2026 — sacekimmerkezi.saglik.gov.tr
- Uluslararası Sağlık Turizmi Yetki Belgesi — Yetkili Hastaneler (ospedali autorizzati al turismo sanitario internazionale) — 278 facilities — registry consulted on 24 September 2026 — shgmturizmdb.saglik.gov.tr
- Uluslararası Sağlık Turizmi Yetki Belgesi — Yetkili Tıp Merkezleri (centri medici autorizzati al turismo sanitario internazionale) — 111 facilities — registry consulted on 24 September 2026 — shgmturizmdb.saglik.gov.tr
- Uluslararası Sağlık Turizmi Yetki Belgesi — Yetkili Diğer Sağlık Tesisleri (altre strutture sanitarie autorizzate al turismo sanitario internazionale, incluse le cliniche odontoiatriche) — 1,236 facilities — registry consulted on 24 September 2026 — shgmturizmdb.saglik.gov.tr
The registry of facilities authorised for international health tourism also includes private practices registered to natural persons ("muayenehane"): we do not import it, because it contains personal data of natural persons.
- District boundaries: © OpenStreetMap contributors, Open Database License (ODbL) — osm.org/copyright.

- no facility in the registry
The presence of a facility on MyClinicTrip indicates solely that it appears in the public registry consulted as of the date of the last check.
What we import
From the source registry we import factual data only:
- the facility's official name;
- district and city;
- the type of facility, as indicated by the source;
- public contact details, when present in the source;
- the identification number under which the facility appears in the registry;
- the registry (or registries) in which the facility appears, with the date of the document consulted;
- the type of facility and, for dental clinics, the treatment category attested by the registry.
We do not import promotional descriptions, images or any other content that is not factual data present in the source.
The provenance of every piece of data
Every published piece of information has a single provenance, indicated next to the data: "public registry consulted" (a registry of a health authority), "Google reviews" (Google data, shown only for manually verified matches), "declared by the facility on dd/mm/yyyy" (information entered by the facility managing its own profile, with the date of the declaration) or "cited public reference" (a public source indicated with name and date). There is no fifth category: if a piece of data has none of these provenances, it is not published.
How we normalise the data
- Official names in Turkish capitals are kept faithful to the source, including the characters specific to the Turkish language.
- The web addresses of the profiles (slugs) are generated automatically from the name.
- When the source lists several sites of the same organisation as separate entries, they also appear as separate entries on this site.
Duplicates and name changes
Possible duplicates and name changes are handled through a manual review, comparing the entries with the source. Every change to published data is recorded in an internal change log, with date and reason.
Facilities removed from the registry
If a facility no longer appears in the source registry, its profile is not deleted automatically: it is flagged for manual review. If the data can no longer be verified, the profile is suspended and is no longer visible to the public.
Linking to official websites
The link between a profile and the facility's official website is checked manually before publication. In the current version of the database this field is often missing: when it is, the profile simply shows no website.
Matching with Google listings
To link a facility to its Google listing we use an association based on name, district and telephone number, through the official Google Maps Platform services. The automatic association only produces a proposed match.
The review score is shown exclusively for manually checked matches. All other profiles remain “not linked” and state that Google data is not yet linked.
Trustpilot
The Trustpilot integration is not currently active: no profile shows Trustpilot data. An official integration will be considered; in any case, scores from different platforms will never be merged into a single score.
Treatments and specialisations
A treatment appears on a profile only if attested by a public registry (for example hair transplantation for the centres in the relevant registry, or dental care for the dental clinics in the registry of facilities authorised for international health tourism) or if declared by the facility managing its own profile, with the date of the declaration. When a facility's name suggests a specialisation that the registry does not explicitly attest, we mark it as "inferred from the name" and only after a review. No specialisation is inferred from the type of facility: a hospital authorised for health tourism does not appear as a cosmetic surgery facility unless it declares it.
Profiles managed by facilities
A facility can ask to manage its own profile. The request is verified through an email address on the facility's official domain and approved manually. From that point the facility can declare its own treatments and information; every declaration is dated, attributed to the facility and subject to review before publication. A managed profile is not a clinical verification by MyClinicTrip and does not change the order of results other than through the criteria published in How results are ordered.
Corrections, disputes and content reports
Anyone can report inaccurate data through the reporting function on the profiles or from the Contact page. The facilities concerned can also request the correction or removal of their own data.
Every request is assessed case by case, against the available sources, within a reasonable time. Applied changes are recorded in the internal change log.
Anyone who believes that published content is unlawful can report it with the same function, choosing "Unlawful or unauthorised content": every report receives a reasoned decision and is recorded.
Update frequency
Updates are carried out through periodic manual reviews of the source registry, not in real time. Every profile shows the date of the last check, so it is always clear how recent the data is.
Limits of the database
- The current version covers the facilities in Türkiye that appear in the registries indicated, for the cities of İstanbul, Antalya, İzmir, Ankara.
- It does not cover other countries, other registries or other cities.
- The information may be incomplete or out of date: the official sources and the facilities' own direct communications prevail.
What we do not verify
MyClinicTrip does not verify the clinical appropriateness or safety of a specific treatment, or the suitability of a facility for an individual patient.
For any medical decision, consult a healthcare professional and always check the information with the official sources and the facilities themselves.
